The éPINOCHE OF the BARLEY VALLEY

The épinoche of the Barley Valley is an association governed by the law of July 1901. Association being recognized like an organization of general interest, it is entitled to receive gifts and to deliver a receipt making it possible to the giver to obtain a tax cut equal to 66% of the gift.

Association was created in Arpajon in 1933 under the name of épinoche Arpajonnaise, then its territory of fishing being extended of Dourdan to Brétigny-sur-Orge, its name changed to become épinoche Barley Valley. 

The head office remained located at the town hall of Arpajon. The office of association is located at 29, rue Dauvilliers with 91290 - Arpajon.

Following the approval delivered by the Department of the Environment, the épinoche of the Barley Valley is an Approved Association of Fishing and Protection of the Aquatic environment. The important fish population (carps, pikes, black-bass, pike perches, poles, tenches, eels, all white fish) is maintained with an elevated level by rempoissonnement annual. The General meeting takes place first Sunday of February. All the members as well as the people interested by the subjects of the fishing and the protection of the aquatic environment are invited to take part many in this meeting. A cocktail, offered to the end, supports the personal contacts in an environment of user-friendliness. 

Activities of association:

• rempoissonnement annual of its territory of fishing,
• monitoring of the territory of fishing by 4 fishery protection ships ensuring control, the prevention and the protection of the aquatic environment (pollution),
• animation of a fishing school,
• organization of contest of fishing and enduros,
• participations in various public demonstrations (fairs, exposures,),
• relationships to the trade unions of rivers,
• follow-up of the maintenance work of the rivers and ponds,
• participation in the development of the Local Commission of the Water which is the charter of the European directive for the adjustment of the rivers, the wetlands and water reserves.
• helps with research organizations (Telethon) or humanitarians (hospital Order of the brothers of Saint-Jean-of-God).

    They are the fishermen who buy a chart of fishing of Epinoche of the Barley Valley in his agents. The higher their number is, the more association can devote a sum raised for rempoissonner its territory of fishing and arrange it.

    The members are invited first Sunday of February of each year to take part in the General meeting of association in order to get information, to put questions and to express their points of view.

    Any dialogue with association with the length of the year is the come good and can be done by mail, email or telephone.
